Dr. Lucy Stead

Associate Professor of Computational Glioma Biology, University of Leeds

Dr. Lucy Stead is a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow and leads the Glioma Genomics Research group at Leeds Institute of Medical Research. Lucy gained a BSc in Natural Sciences (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) from the University of Cambridge before training to become a computational biologist during her MRes and PhD at the University of Leeds.

She began transitioning to independence in 2013 through a series of fellowships that saw her establish a hybrid wet- and dry-lab group focused on trying to understand treatment resistance in GBM.
