Kat qualified as a Therapeutic Radiographer in 2008 and began her Radiotherapy career at UCLH. She commenced her specialist neuro role at UCLH in 2019 working with teenagers, young adults and adults. She has an MSc in Radiotherapy and Oncology, and is currently completing an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. She has many additional qualifications including clinical examination skills, non-medical prescribing, and mental health first aider.
Kat manages and supports patients with a central nervous system or base of skull tumour and her role covers both the photon service and the national proton beam therapy service. Kat works at an advanced clinical level, managing and supporting patients and their relatives through the radiation treatment and initial follow up.
Kat participates in national and international groups including the Tessa Jowell Foundation Therapeutic Radiographer’s Network, ESTRO CNS focus group and CCLG 16-18 SIG. Her role includes carrying out audits, service development and research.
